Weymouth MarketsWeymouth Market is held on a Thursday with the market using Swannery Car Park during the Summer and Westham Bridge during winter months. The town also holds a Farmers' Market on the 2nd Sunday of the month at Westham Bridge between 10am -3pm . The town also holds several specialist Markets over the year and we will add these to the calendar once the dates have been confirmed. January February March April Quay to Quay Vintage & Classic Car RunThis event is taking place in Weymouth on the 20th April 2008 May 1st May - Discover Weymouth Diamonds FCBring shinpads & trainers and join in with Dorset's Active Leisure Month. Join Weymouth Diamonds FC at Budmouth Community Sports Centre for a day of fun. International Beach Kite Festival 2008This year's event is taking place in Weymouth from 3rd - 5th May. There will be organised events on the Sunday and Monday, with the Saturday being a free flying day. More information can be found from The Kite Society. Weymouth Sea FestivalOn the 25th & 26th May the Weymouth Sea festival will take place in the town. There will be a Bird Man competition, trawler race and plenty more. June 6th - 8th June - Wessex Folk FestivalHeld in Weymouth around Hope Square and the Old Harbour, Wessex Folk Festival puts on a range of concerts to showcase some of the best Folk Music around.July Spirit of the Sea Maritime FestivalFrom the 5th - 13th July many events will take place as part of the festival. These include races for several classes of boat and The Big Gig. Please visit the Spirit of the Sea website. Dorset Seafood FestivalThe Seafood festival takes place in Weymouth on the 12th & 13th July on Weymouth Waterfront. The event offer a wide range of stalls, and will be open from 10.00 - 18.00 on Saturday and 10.30 - 16.30 on Sunday. Weymouth Lifeboat WeekThis celebration of the work done by the Lifeboat crew of Weymouth will take place between 20th - 26th July. The 26th Weymouth Beach Volleyball Classic ChampionshipThis year the competition will take place from Friday July 25th to Sunday July 27th.
